Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf has added Tim Wise as its newest partner and Rosie Foulke to the executive team as the business enters its 50th year as a design and architecture firm in Indianapolis.
On Jan. 1, Foulke became the vice president of business development. She has worked at Browning Day since November 2015, most recently as the business development manager. She replaces Larry Roan, who retired at the end of 2016. Foulke brings more than 15 years of professional business development experience to the team.
“As we thought about the future of business development in Browning Day, and who would be the very public face of our group, we were most fortunate to meet Rosie and offer her the opportunity to lead our efforts there,” said Jonathan Hess, president of Browning Day. “She is an enormous asset to the future of BDMD. Her engaging presence, relationships in our community and valued years of business development will help propel this firm forward.”
Foulke brings an authentic and impassioned sense for building trust with people and within relationships. She has partnered with clients in many industries including: life sciences, technology, advanced manufacturing, higher education, and senior care. Her ability to perceive the diversities within each organization compliments Browning Day’s view on treating each relationship as unique. She enjoys working together with clients and partners, understanding each opportunity’s specific goals and leading teams toward success.
“BDMD’s history includes locations where many of us make unforgettable memories,” Foulke said. “Whether a peaceful walk on the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art or a heart pounding visit at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway; these are the destinations that we are drawn to as a community and they took form in the BDMD design studio. This exciting legacy is only part of the story. With a portfolio spanning 50 years, there is an impressive range of places where we learn, play, work, and heal. This abundant experience and the immense value our team puts on the people involved make the future of BDMD limitless.”
Foulke joins a talented leadership team that includes five principals: Jonathan Hess, president; John Dierdorf, chief executive officer; Greg Jacoby, chief operating officer; Barth Hendrickson, vice president; and newest partner, Tim Wise, vice president.
“Every once in a while, talent crosses our doorstep, and then for reasons, moves on to other opportunities…. greener pastures,” Hess said. “We couldn’t be any happier for Tim to have returned to our pastures as one of our newest partners. He brings a well-rounded/strong background in architecture and interior design, touching higher education, corporate office and hospitality. With over 18 years’ experience, he is poised to continue his leadership in design for our clients, and staff.”
Wise’s focus is on the design of architecture and interiors for the firm. He has a combined love for art and space and offers a hands-on approach with every client to aid in the culmination of the right design for them. His experience ranges from projects for Indiana University, Purdue University, Butler University, and Harrison College, along with leading the design on several senior care facilities both locally and nationally. He has also worked with Cummins, Eli Lilly, Rolls Royce and GEICO. Wise worked for Browning Day toward the beginning of his career. He left the firm for a brief period before rejoining in 2015.
“I couldn’t be more pleased with the future of BDMD and I’m extremely excited to be part of an award-winning architecture landscape architecture, planning and interior design firm that is a fixture to the city of Indianapolis,” Wise said. The leadership team at BDMD has a strong and shared set of values and vision for our future, pair that with the incredible talent of our staff and I can’t help but be thrilled with the potential for growth in all facets of what we do.”
Founded in 1967, Browning Day has worked on several local iconic projects, such as The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis Zoo, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
