Honoring 42 Years of Leadership
Dave Long’s Legacy at Browning Day
After more than four decades with Browning Day, Dave Long has entered a well-deserved retirement. His 42 years with the firm reflect a lifetime of steady leadership, and deep commitment to our practice and our people.
Dave joined Browning Day in 1983 and went on to shape hundreds of projects across our community. His approach to design and delivery set a standard that continues to guide how we practice today. He brought care to every detail and consistency to every challenge, building trust with clients and confidence within our teams.
Equally meaningful is the way Dave invested in the people behind the work. He approached leadership with humility and purpose, offering guidance that elevated emerging professionals and supported the evolution of our next generation of leaders.
Throughout his career, Dave helped establish the systems, habits, and shared values that remain part of Browning Day’s foundation. His influence lives on in how we collaborate, how we problem-solve, and how we successfully hold ourselves accountable to high standards.
As we mark his retirement, we do so with sincere gratitude and respect. Dave’s legacy is reflected in our buildings, culture, and collective commitment to doing meaningful work with integrity. Dave, thank you for 42 years of dedication, mentorship, and care. We are grateful for all you have given to this firm and wish you every happiness in the years ahead.
